Hey, everybody, it's Adam with World Wide Stereo here on location with the first outdoor TV made by arguably one of the best TV manufacturers on the planet. This is the Samsung Terrace. The Samsung Terrace is available on a 55, 65, and 75-inch size. And it does have speakers but there is also an optional soundbar for it. And there's also many ways to connect it to potentially an existing outdoor landscape audio system to even give a bigger impact.
It can be wall-mounted. It has standard VESA compliancy with the 55-inch being 200 by 200, and the 65 and 75 being a 400 by 400-volt pattern. It has over 2,000 nits which is extremely bright and it also has a nice anti-glare screen on it. The other great thing about the Samsung Terrace is that it also has an ultra-wide-angle viewing.
So you don't have to be sitting directly in front of it to get a great image. You can be off to the left a little bit, off to the right and it's going to give you a great picture. The demo that I'm receiving today, the TV has been mounted into a covered patio and there's a decent amount of light out but I enjoyed it from every angle and it had a really nice bright image on it. So as you can see this TV is certainly a good one to have outside and can handle the elements and also give you a nice bright image on a nice sunny day.
Now let's move to the connectivity of the Samsung Terrace TV. On the back, you'll find a couple of HDMI inputs, you'll find an antenna input, which is great so you can connect an antenna locally to it and get HD over the air broadcast. It's also going to have an optical out so you can connect it to an external sound system, soundbar, or something like that. And for internet connectivity, it has Ethernet or Wi-Fi.
The one connection that really sets this TV apart from others is it has an input called HDBaseT, that's an input that actually allows you to send an HDMI cable over Cat 6 and plug the Cat 6 cable directly into the TV. This makes installation easy. You don't have to worry about a long HDMI cable if you already have Cat 6 there, so really nice feature to have that on the Samsung TV.
Also on the back here there's a sealed media bay. If you want to pop in something like a streaming stick of some kind, Roku, Fire, Amazon that kind of stuff. But keep in mind it is a smart TV so all of that is built into it already. You don't need to have the streaming stick in my opinion on it because everything is already built-in. If you're a Comcast subscriber, Samsung does have the Xfinity Beta App, which when you activate that you basically have your entire cable box right there ready to go on the TV.
So if you're a Comcast Xfinity customer, you don't even have to have a cable box for this TV, you could simply use the Beta App and watch your cable TV that way. Samsung also has incorporated into it Samsung SmartThings Smart Home platforms so you can control it that way. Built into it is Apple TV so you can airplay, you can mirror your images up to it with a Samsung phone or an iPhone.
And then it has a new feature for this year called multi-view which is awesome. Everybody remember picture and picture? Well, it's back. With your phone, I can have an image from my phone and also an image from the TV on the same screen at the same time. Lastly, all the QLED TVs that are out there Samsung has this mode called ambient mode.
And with that, you can have an image on your screen when you're not even watching TV. You could have photos up there, you could have information screens up there. So a really nice way to add some style to your outdoor landscaping. If you're not necessarily watching TV but you have people over and you're entertaining you could throw family photos up there, vacation photos or photoed artwork that's already pre-loaded.
So nice feature, love the ambient mode from Samsung. Let's talk about the remote real quick. The remote itself is also meant to be outside as well so it can get splashed on, wet, and still control the TV. It's really everything that you need to control your TV from outside. You just use that and you can access all the Smart TV apps. It's even a universal remote so if you do have a source connected to it, it can and, in most cases, learn that and control it for you too.
As I mentioned, the demo that I'm looking at here today, it was installed in a covered porch area and it was very bright out. But again, it looked great from all angles. We watched motion on it and we watched some sports. That looked good. All the colors are rich, everything you'd expect out of a really top-performing Samsung TV. I think personally, the features of this TV really win the day. Everything that you've always wanted in an outdoor TV is now here.
Most outdoor TVs haven't been smart TV. There are a couple of models out there that have that special HDBaseT connection. So that's nice to see on here. They kind of really thought of everything. And in my opinion, this TV is really a home-run for outside. This is the Samsung Terrace outdoor TV.
